About Us

Hi! We're the Burton family. We live in beautiful sunny Phoenix, AZ.

Here we all are (back row) Grandmother Jean, Troy, Mark, Brad, Sarah,
(front row) Zeus, Delene, and Max.

Mark and Delene moved to Phoenix in 1980 and we started giving back to the community, our friends and
family joined us. Soon, Mark and his friends - who loved playing games (softball, football, golf - you get the
picture) wanted to organize a sport to get everyone together and raise money for good causes.

Their obvious choice was to have a golf tournament!

Thus, BCCGT was conceived.

What does BCCGT mean? Good question, it stands for Burton Charity Classic Golf Tournament.

When did BCCGT start? Another good question, I think it was around 1983-1985.
Whatever the year, it was before we had children - that we all can agree upon.

We do research on the charity that we select to support each year to ensure that the most amount
of any monies that we give, will go directly to those who need it - not to the overhead of an organization.

We're just one family, with a group of fantastic friends and neighbors who come together to help
support others. If you're looking for something to do, come and join us or start your own thing -
it's fun and rewarding all at the same time. Help others that really need it!
